Gastroenterologist Tyson Collazo Joins Jackson Siegelbaum
Updated 05/28/2020
Jackson Siegelbaum welcomed gastroenterologist Dr. Tyson H. Collazo to its team this May. Dr. Collazo comes from Stony Brook University Medical Center in New York, where he previously served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine.
Dr. Collazo grew up in New York City, but spent his summers in the Pocono Mountains. He and his wife have strong family ties to Pennsylvania.
“The New York area is very crowded, very high-stress. We were looking for more of a laid-back community,” he says. “Everybody I’ve talked to who’s been a patient in the practice has had such great things to say about Jackson Siegelbaum. [But] what really sold me was actually coming and visiting the practice – meeting everyone and seeing how friendly and welcoming everybody was.”
Dr. Collazo is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Internal Medicine. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Manhattan College and completed his Pre-Medical Studies at Columbia University. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and also completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Westchester Medical Center.
