The West Shore Endoscopy Center (WSEC) is an outpatient endoscopy center, specializing in gastrointestinal (GI) services. It is Pennsylvania Department of Health Licensed, Medicare approved, and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). WSEC continues to be honored in the Endoscopic Unit Recognition Program awarded by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Honorees are units that have demonstrated a commitment to delivering quality and safety as reflected in their unit policies, credentialing, staff training and competency assessment, and quality improvement activities. In addition, WSEC is a participant in the GIQuic Registry; a nationwide benchmarking tool which supports our dedication to promoting quality and safety in endoscopy.
WSEC has six state-of-the-art GI Endoscopy rooms, which are constructed, staffed and equipped to meet rigorous federal and state licensing requirements. Patients are pleased to learn that our procedures are performed utilizing the services of a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide intravenous sedation, to make the procedure as comfortable and safe as possible. Nursing staff is highly trained, and participate actively in ongoing and current education. WSEC provides patients and their families with the highest levels of comfort, privacy and convenience before, during and after examinations.
The mission of WSEC is to provide the highest quality gastrointestinal endoscopy care to our patients, referring physicians, health care systems and third-party payers. We will strive to bring the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic treatment options to our practice.
Our staff will take advantage of all educational and clinical opportunities to remain skilled and knowledgeable about the most current treatment options available to our patient population.
West Shore Endoscopy Center’s (WSEC) vision is to be the premier provider of gastrointestinal endoscopy services in the Central Pennsylvania region to include Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties.
WSEC will accomplish this on the strength of our physicians’ training, expertise and leadership in the specialty of gastroenterology; our strong, skilled, clinical staff; and our successful, professional administrative support.
West Shore Endoscopy Center is not an emergency facility. If you experience urgent problems, you should contact your physician immediately.
