Polyp Removal
Small polyps can usually be burnt off as in Image 1 where it is grasped with a forceps through the end of the endoscope and electric current applied. In Image 2, a polyp at the top of a stalk is snared with a wire lasso and again burned through using cautery. Very large polyps usually can be removed piecemeal with the snare and cautery.
