Polyps
About Polyps
There are several different types of polyps in the intestinal tract and they come in different shapes and sizes. Polyps are important because some may have a cancer in them, some may become malignant in the future, and others will never become malignant. Usually, the physician cannot know by looking which is cancer so he or she will take them out so the pathologist can examine them under the microscope to determine the type of polyp.
